What you'll do

  • As an Enterprise Sales Executive you will be viewed as the trusted advisor (internally and externally) to sell Aptitude Software’s (‘Aptitude’) products and services directly or via partners across your agreed sector (s). You will be responsible for the effective execution and management of the entire sales process to support the generation of new business across your territory to achieve your annual target.
  • You will be responsible for proactively defining your business development campaign plans so that they are programmatic, outcome focused, and executed to support the business development of your territory.
  • You will be solely responsible for managing and supporting the campaign in line with the Sales Development Representative (‘SDR’) program. It is also expected that you will provide mentoring to the SDR team throughout the campaign lifecycle to ensure measurable outcomes are achieved.
  • You will be expected to generate at least two thirds of your pipeline via your direct prospecting activity in line with your campaign plans. The remainder of your pipeline will be generated through a combination of inbound, partner and SDR leads.
  • A key part of your role will be to independently establish and maintain prospect coach relationships at every level (across both finance and IT), including the C-Level, and effectively using them as coaches throughout the lifecycle of the sales process.
  • You will adopt and promote the “Ideal Client Profile”, “Deal Strategy” and “Top Account Close Plan” approaches to improve both the quality of the funnel and also the win chance of all qualified opportunities in line with the ICP.
  • You will take ownership, responsibility and be accountable for the full lifecycle of the sales process to ensure all parts of the business are aligned and that you anticipate and manage all risks.
  • You will coordinate and lead all follow-up without dependence on others and ensure all parties (external and internal) fully understand next steps and timing. All of these activities will be performed in line with your interlocked and actionable close plans for your top prospects.
  • You will be responsible for developing, executing, managing, and updating actionable and outcome focused sales plans including competitive counter tactics to competitively differentiate Aptitude Software products/services and position Aptitude Software to best align to prospect’s requirements
  • You will be responsible for creatively and effectively utilizing internal (marketing, sales, client success, client/ professional services, finance advisory, solution consulting) and external parties (partners) during your sales process and consistently elevating Aptitude Software above the competition to ensure we cement ourselves as the long-term partner. You will own and develop the creation of all internal and external sales and commercial materials to a high standard with a conscientious mindset.
  • You will protect Aptitude Software’s reputation and ensure all risks are understood and managed across all interactions with prospects and partners. As part of the overall role you will be trusted by your internal teams and be regarded as a credible, honest, and informed Aptitude Software team member.
  • You will be a key Aptitude Champion and advocate of selling the value our solutions bring to our clients and ensuring new insights are fed back to key Aptitude Software internal teams as well as communicated to the wider Aptitude community.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • Ability to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within the assigned territory using a variety of proactive and creative structured inbound/outbound methods
  • Consistently and programmatically identify (generate pipe) and proactively manage new opportunities through direct prospecting
  • Strong understanding of Aptitude Software’s product offerings, competitive landscape, and clearly articulates the value of our software and services – ability to unveil and create value
  • Effectively connects the business by managing the entire complex sales process and collaborating with internal teams to ensure all client needs and requirements are understood, addressed, and the sales process risks managed
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior level (including C level) contacts – quickly establishing and utilizing coaches to ensure all decision makers are covered
  • Manage, monitor, nurture and maintain direct partner relationships (at the Partner level) – is the trusted and credible go-to for your territory
  • Ability to lead the creation of sales material (value proposition) in line with prospects needs and requirements
  • Ability to lead and manage proposal processes (budgetary proposals, Request for Information, Request for Proposals etc.) with no reliance on other resources for coordination
  • Ability to work with the senior commercial team to negotiate and close complex deals and stay aligned with the team throughout the negotiation process
  • Excellent public speaking skills, and exceptional presenting, written, oral skills with an extreme attention to detail
