What you'll do

The Junior Pre-Sales Engineer partners with Pre-Sales Consultants to assist the sales team members on new and existing client engagements. The Junior Pre-Sales Engineer assists the alignment of Aptitude Software product capabilities with client requirements by demonstrating financial and business solutions which will satisfy the client’s needs.

With support from others, you will identify, and report opportunities and risks to senior colleagues to ensure we are always striving to deliver value to Aptitude Software and its clients.

You will assist in the configuration and support the delivery of demonstrations pertaining to Aptitude Software products and solutions aligned with client requirements. This role will also proactively assist with the delivery of client workshops.

A key part of your role is to proactively continue your own personal development (keeping yourself updated with relevant knowledge and skills) as well as developing your understanding of Aptitude Software’s products.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • The ability to communicate in a concise and timely manner with internal and external stakeholders’ groups to ensure that critical information is conveyed
  • Demonstrate an ability to understand the client’s objective, identify pain points and translate into logical and actionable requirements
  • Ability to create & design propositions with practical solutions demonstrating best practice based upon Aptitude’s products and capabilities
  • The ability to support RFP & RFI processes
  • Able to prioritise tasks and deliverables to complete projects on schedule
  • Communicate effectively with the client, project leads and within the Sales team to build effective relationships
  • Demonstrate a competitive view of the market Aptitude operate within
  • Can demonstrate a broad understanding of principals (Oracle RDBMS, systems architecture, accounting) and the application of those principles to achieve financial value using Aptitude Software products
  • Understands and evidences the key controls that form part of the company’s SOC process
