What you'll do

The Sales Executive’s role is to sell Aptitude Software’s (‘Aptitude’) products and services directly or via partners across your agreed sector, portfolio and territory. You will contribute to the entire sales process from business development prospecting to close of sale, ensuring all parts of the business are aligned and that you proactively communicate all necessary information to all parties.

You will be responsible for supporting the business development campaign plans of your territory, as well as managing and supporting the campaign in line with the Sales Development Representative (‘SDR’) program.

A key part of your role is to establish and maintain prospect coach relationships at every level (across both finance and IT), including the C-Level, and effectively using them as coaches during the sales process.

You will be an Aptitude Champion and advocate, selling the value our solutions bring to our clients. As a Sales Executive you must be commercially focused, risk adverse, a trusted member of the Aptitude team and focused on providing valuable outcomes aligned with the strategy of Aptitude Software.

It is a given that the Sales Executive will proactively keep up-to-date with relevant knowledge and skills and that they will be aligned to the evolving company culture, contributing towards internal communications where appropriate.


What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • Ability to achieve sales profitability, growth and account penetration within the assigned territory using a variety of structured inbound/outbound methods
  • Consistently and programmatically identify (generate pipe) and manage new opportunities
  • A good understanding of Aptitude Software’s product offerings, competitive landscape and able to clearly articulate the value of software/services
  • Able to support the entire complex sales process and collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure all client needs and requirements are understood and addressed
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with senior level (up to C level) contacts
  • Able to effectively manage, monitor, nurture and maintain direct partner relationships (at the Partner level) – become knowledgeable and credible for your territory
  • Ability to generate the creation of sales material (value proposition) in line with prospects needs and requirements
  • Can executes and update sales plans including competitive counter tactics to competitively differentiate Aptitude Software products/services and position Aptitude Software to best align to prospect’s requirements
  • Ability to contribute to the proposal processes (budgetary proposals, Request for Information, Request for Proposals etc.)
  • Demonstrates ability to work with the senior commercial team to negotiate and close complex deals
  • Strong public speaking, presenting, written and oral skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
