What you'll do and what we offer

Your responsibilities will include:

  • You are responsible for designing and optimising the experience of our financial applications. As a champion for UX, you educate fellow colleagues about the design process and our initiatives, helping to grow the prominence and importance of user centered design across the business. You promote and encourage an open, transparent culture of continual learning
  • You actively contribute to the research repository with qualitative and quantitative data to form a comprehensive understanding of our users. You use these insights to frame your design approach
  • Working closely with the UI team, you support the evolution and implementation of a Design System, ensuring all design patterns are usable and useful in the wider context of the product portfolio

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • ~3 years’ experience designing accessible, inclusive and cohesive user interfaces
  • Proven experience of user centered design principles and methodologies, with an ability produce UX artefacts such as personas, user journeys, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, concepts, etc
  • Ability to communicate the intent of design ideas and prototypes with Developers, Product Owners, Testers and the wider product team
  • Experience designing intuitive ways to navigate and convey complex information and data
  • Experience designing responsive applications
  • Experience designing for accessibility
  • Proficient understanding of tools and applications such as Figma
  • Experience running workshops to generate a variety of design ideas
  • Experience conducting various types of research to uncover insight, identify customer needs, test new concepts and justify design decisions
  • You can create research artefacts that communicate your findings as actionable problem statements and testable hypotheses
  • An understanding of how to plan, conduct and analyse usability tests
