Aptitude hosts charity basketball game for Alzheimer’s Association

It’s been a bit of a running joke between the members of the Aptitude North America Sales Team and The North America Professional Services Team as to who would win in a game of basketball.

“The NA Sales team, chatty by nature, has been chirping about their collective basketball skills for years now, said Paul Tassinari, VP Professional Services for North America. “Now that they gained a height advantage in our new Business Development Representative, Michael Best, they’ve decided they are finally ready to meet us on the court.”

Sean Bannon, Sales Manager – Financial Services, begs to differ. “There’s been a lot of smack talk coming from the North American Professional Services team in regard to their ability to beat the Sales team in a game of 3 on 3 basketball. The disrespect has gotten so intense, that we had no choice but to accept the challenge and let our game do the talking.”

The good-natured rivalry will be played out on Sept 22nd when Aptitude hosts the teams in a charity basketball game. The company elected to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association, a group that has been a charitable focus for the company in the past. With World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21st, it seemed like the perfect focus.

The Alzheimer’s Association’s mission is to end Alzheimer’s and all other types of dementia. More than 24 million people worldwide suffer from this disease and it is estimated that 1 in 9 people over the age of 65 have Alzheimer’s. This is a reality that the Alzheimer’s Association is determined to change. The Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts focus on accelerating research, driving risk reduction, and maximizing quality care and support.

If you are able to donate, please do so at this link. Every bit makes a difference. We’ll provide an update on the winning team at the end of the month!
