This is a great opportunity to join Aptitude as a Technical Consultant in Wrocław, working across multiple Aptitude products and supporting a diverse range of clients. You’ll gain exposure to different projects, technologies and client environments while working alongside experienced colleagues across the business.
You’ll have the opportunity to build your technical and consultancy skills, broaden your knowledge across the Aptitude product suite and take on increasing responsibility as you develop.
You will be expected to follow best practices, as defined by senior colleagues, to ensure that the quality of our delivery and support is fit for purpose. With support from others, you will gain a good understanding of the Aptitude product(s) capabilities, liaising with project colleagues to match client requirements onto those capabilities.
A key part of your role is to proactively continue your own personal development (keeping yourself updated with relevant knowledge and skills) as well as developing your understanding of how to best approach project work.
You should be aligned to the evolving company culture and contribute towards internal communications as required. Delivery responsibilities may be performed on client premises and travel (in-country and/or overseas) may be required of you. Assure responsibilities will require time zone flexibility and the possibility of standby support during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Where You Will Be:
This role is based from our Wrocław office and we support hybrid working
To us at Aptitude, hybrid working means that our employees come together for 2-days per week at their local office. It’s an opportunity for our teams to collaborate, solve problems together and to be engaged and involved in the wider community of our business.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:
Proven 3yrs of experience on similar position
Fluency in English (B2/C1) – technical vocabulary
Previous experience of hands-on experience of working with SQL and legacy products
Consultancy
Rapidly gains a full understanding of the project stream that you are assigned to, understanding the tasks and timescales required
Takes responsibility for completing tasks to the required quality and seeking guidance where necessary
Seeks feedback on performance and contributes ideas to the team
Strives to expand personal knowledge and skill set as part of the assignment
Technical
Demonstrates a broad understanding of ETL and RDBMS concepts and an evolving knowledge of the fundamentals of developing database-centric applications
Is recognised as a capable practitioner of the Aptitude Product(s) being used and with a broad knowledge of the complete suite of Aptitude Products
Enriches the skillset of the team with one or more peripheral disciplines such as UNIX shell scripting
Steers the development team to deliver to the required quality and time frames
Software Development Life Cycle
Demonstrates a thorough understanding in the following disciplines:
Management of source code
Performing automated build and testing
Allocating development tasks in an agile setting
Testing and Defect Resolution
Demonstrate an evidence-based approach to investigating & resolving defects
Ensures defect occurrences are minimized by developing effective unit-test strategies
