Brenden is an equity partner at KPMG UK with over 19 years’ experience in leading and delivering technology enabled transformations across Finance, Operations, and IT functions within the Financial Services Sectors. He currently leads KPMG UK’s FS Finance Transformation Capability and their Insurance Corporate Services Transformation Business Unit.

Ian is a seasoned insurance executive and qualified actuary. His experience spans 30+ years, covering leadership roles in insurance, investment banking and consultancies including KPMG.

Ian is Head of Finance Operational Excellence at Convex, leading on a range of transformation projects in the finance and broader automation space.

Convex was started in 2019, writing international specialty and insurance business, and wrote c. $4bn of premium in 2023.

Prior to Convex, Ian spent 3 years at KPMG where he led on buy and sell-side due diligence on several UK and European M&As as well as leading an initiative to upskill the actuarial team on data science tools and techniques. Prior to KPMG, Ian was Head of Group Capital Management at Prudential plc for 6 years and was responsible for capital reporting, capital optimisation, stress and scenario testing, ERM (including ORSA and rating agency models) and preparing the Group’s Recovery and Resolution plan, systemic risk management plan and liquidity risk management plan.

Toby has been working in the consulting industry for 30+ years focusing on challenging Finance Transformation journeys in the banking and insurance industry. Before joining HSO he led the global FSI Finance Transformation practice at Deloitte – and was in similar positions at PwC and KPMG.

The main focus areas of his client engagements were the optimization of underlying Finance Operating Models, standardizing and optimizing Finance processes, set-up of Finance Shared Service Centers (off-/near-shore), the integration of Finance towards the Risk function as well as designing and implementing new Finance architectures.

Nowadays, Toby is leading the Financial Service practice at HSO DACH region leveraging the given Microsoft technology – optimizing the Finance function with Microsoft – among others.

He has deep finance and operational knowledge across diverse industry sectors and has been focused on software solutions for financial regulatory compliance and modernization since 2007, including co-founding and leading product and technology for RevStream, a leading Enterprise Revenue Recognition and Management Solution. Since its acquisition by Aptitude Software in 2017, Mark has served in several strategic roles, including SVP of Sales, Solutions Consulting, Account Management for North America and Chief Innovation Officer.
