We are looking for a high-impact Azure DevOps & Platform Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and evolution of our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and internal developer platforms. This role sits at the intersection of DevOps, platform engineering, and developer experience, ensuring our software engineering teams can deliver efficiently, securely, and at scale.
You’ll play a critical role in enabling engineering efficiency, building tools and automation to reduce cognitive load on development teams, and leading initiatives that improve the speed, reliability, and security of our delivery pipelines. As part of our broader platform engineering strategy, you will help shape an internal platform that supports the full software development lifecycle.
Additionally, this role places a strong emphasis on cost control, monitoring, and designing for operational and cost efficiency in cloud-native environments. As we evolve toward a multi-cloud strategy, you’ll work primarily in Azure while having the opportunity to cross-skill into AWS, collaborating across teams that operate in both ecosystems.
Responsibility
Infrastructure & Environment Management – Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud environments. Continuously improve the performance, resilience, and cost-efficiency of cloud resources and platforms.
Monitoring & Incident Response – Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure stability and reliability. Implement proactive alerting and observability best practices. Collaborate with development teams during incidents to ensure rapid resolution. Participate in duty rotation to ensure continuous service availability.
CI/CD Pipeline & Platform Development – Architect and maintain scalable, reusable Azure DevOps pipelines, with integration of testing, security scanning, and quality gates. Partner with product and engineering teams to evolve developer self-service tooling, GitOps workflows, and continuous delivery patterns. Design internal platform components to accelerate deployment and observability workflows.
Security & Compliance – Work with the security team to implement DevSecOps principles. Conduct threat modelling and ensure systems adhere to compliance standards (e.g. SOC)
Research & Innovation – Explore and recommend emerging tools, frameworks, and patterns in platform engineering, SRE, and cloud-native tech. Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for emerging DevOps technologies. Stay updated on Azure and industry trends

Essential
· 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with at least 3 years in Azure
· Strong hands-on expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools Terraform/OpenTofu.
· Proven experience in designing and deploying infrastructure using the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
· Strong understanding of Azure services and best practices for cloud architecture.
· Ability to implement Azure CAF principles to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.
· Experience with DevOps methodologies, tools, and practices, including CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes and horizontal scaling.
· Experience managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized environments.
· Experience in Azure monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
· Engineering background with microservices and Azure with Kubernetes experience.
Nice to have
· Experience with tools such as Argo CD, Crossplane, Kargo, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
· Azure Certification: Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a strong plus.
· Experience with AWS cloud platforms is a plus.
