What you'll do
The Senior Commercial Executive will work in our global quarterly sales focused Commercial function. Your primary focus will be to provide services to our North American Go To Market teams, where you will act as the local point of contact for all commercial matters. You will forge strong relationships with the various key stakeholders in the region, whilst also being adept at building a wider, global network of relationships to support your work and the activities of the organization as a whole.
You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and helping to drive the negotiation of various legal documentation, including template documents, proactively leveraging input from across the business or from the Senior Commercial Manager/Director as required. This documentation will include but will not be limited to commercial proposals, confidentiality, order forms and associated software terms & conditions (SaaS & on-premise), statements of work, change orders, extension schedules and partnership agreements. You will provide oversight of spend with key, critical, global suppliers, negotiate adequate and favorable commercial terms and act as a commercial champion internally to promote procurement best practice and to upskill the buying organization accordingly.
A key part of the role will involve growing relationships with budget owners to develop and implement key category management/supplier plans delivering value for money. In this you must work hand in glove with your stakeholders whilst championing industry and internal best practice and the latest thinking. You will facilitate the continual review and improvement of Commercial processes, negotiation approaches, tools and documentation, ensuring they are the ‘best in breed’ and driving change where appropriate.
As Senior Commercial Executive, you will also be expected to be proficient and commercially creative at internal bid modelling, pricing and negotiation planning to ensure that sales processes and client negotiations are effective, efficient and ultimately successful. You will team with our Client Success and Sales teams and proactively lead them through a client procurement process at a pace that supports a quarterly driven business (using Commercial Playbook, contract templates and leveraging prior experiences and colleague input). You will confidently develop strong relationships with key prospect/client stakeholders and procurement teams during negotiations and make sure that client requirements are balanced with those of Aptitude to ensure the best outcome.
You will be expected to be comfortable supporting multiple deals running in parallel across the North America region in different time zones. This will likely involve quite regular travel within the US in future, supporting sales negotiations.
