What you'll do

Solution Management Services (‘SMS’) assist in sustaining the value of investment in our solutions for Aptitude Software’s clients and help them feel protected in that investment, ensuring that the solution continues to meet evolving client needs.

This is a growing team for which we are now seeking an SMS Product Owner to be responsible for defining, shaping, evolving and delivering a profitable SMS service that meets the requirements of our range of clients. A key focus of the role is on business development and ensuring growth, and on this you will work closely with our Strategic Accounts and Client Success teams.

As SMS Product Owner you will be required to;

  • Lead the development of Go-To-Market strategies for SMS in all regions for all Aptitude Software products, through effective collaboration with internal teams
  • Promote and drive SMS across the whole organization and leverage Aptitude Software’s sales and account management capabilities to accelerate uptake by the client base
  • Work collaboratively with the SMS Manager whose organisation will be responsible for developing and managing a 24/7 SMS capability to meet the demands of the business and client expectations
  • Be both creative and flexible, always searching for productive ways to improve and grow the service, and as part of that taking well thought through risks to create change.
  • Attend client steering groups acting as an ambassador and escalation point, whilst providing valuable insights on client health to the VP Client First
  • Manage relevant reporting of management and financial information.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • Experience with managing risks for Managed Service fixed price contracts and producing results-driven service levels. Experience in the banking, insurance or telco sectors would be ideal.
  • Commercially strong with an ability to develop productised offerings and Go-To-Market strategies collaborating with internal teams.
  • Experience in working in a global environment in a business development capacity and ideally operational too.
  • Ability to operate comfortably and with authority with senior directors in Aptitude Software’s clients and partners, and able to create trusted advisor relationship status with stakeholders at all levels
  • Can handle client escalations with sensitivity, sound judgement and bring about a mutually agreeable resolution
  • Self-motivated, one-think ahead, curious, energetic, reliable and conscientious
  • Able to take responsibility, with the good judgement to know when to escalate
  • Ability to simplify and summarise a problem
  • Maintains a high level of satisfaction (for clients and internally) through service delivery and skilful communication. Really cares about being the difference.
  • Effectively analyses, compares and accurately synthetises information from various sources, and delegates work to other teams where appropriate
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapid business change and prioritise the important as well as the daily urgent
