What you'll do

As the Vice President, Alliances for our International region comprising EMEA and APAC (VP, International Alliances), you will strategise, deliver on, create deep relationships with and manage incremental revenue growth in Aptitude’s strategic partner objectives and results across chosen markets and regions.

Reporting into the International CEO, you will be responsible for setting, driving and evolving the Aptitude partner programme to deliver growing revenues we would otherwise not reach or realise, while ensuring alignment with all internal stakeholders and growing Aptitude brand equity within the partner community.

As VP, International Alliances you will identify, plan, build and nurture external relationships with the most influential senior Partner contacts. You will be a brand ambassador and responsible for facilitating and managing successful, committed joint go-to-market plans with all our strategic partners across our markets.

You will develop and maintain effective relationships with your colleagues across Aptitude’s Senior Leadership, Product, Finance Advisory, Sales and Delivery teams. You will, with clear commercial goals and milestones, design, build and manage an effective International partner team valued both internally and by our partners. You will work with the Senior Leadership and Product teams to identify and shape technology partnerships to achieve our strategic goals.

As well as nurturing your own skills and knowledge, you will be expected to encourage your team’s personal development and be mindful of the importance of celebrating the successes and milestones of your team.

The role is contractually office based although a hybrid approach is welcomed.  Travel (in-country and/or overseas) will be required.

What we're looking for

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • Able to drive the Aptitude Software agenda and strategy to be sticky, profitable and consistent with partners.
  • Knowledge of finance transformation and subscription billing and revenue management in terms of the key drivers for our solutions
  • Detailed knowledge of the functioning and challenges of the enterprise CFO office and subscription services industry
  • Strong knowledge of the enterprise consulting marketplace with connections with senior influencers within that community
  • Exceptional at building trusted advisor relationships at the highest levels within enterprise-level consultancies, including the “big four” advisory organisations
  • Able to analyse markets, develop effective partner strategies and ideal partner profiles, then designing and driving campaigns to build trusted and profitable relationships with target organisations that return incremental revenue that Aptitude Software would otherwise not reach or realise
  • Successful experience of Alliance partnership programme design, planning, enablement, development, management and continuous improvement to deliver clear commercial outcomes such as tangible net new revenue and profit growth
  • Proven experience of driving the development, selling and negotiation of sophisticated and innovative partner agreements
  • Ability to design, build and run programmes that create compelling joint value propositions and successful go-to-market strategies with senior and influential teams from our strategic partners
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on return on investment, risk management, scalability and commercial accountability
  • Willingness to accept responsibility and ownership
  • Proven leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills with the ability effectively to establish, motivate, coach/mentor, lead and manage a geographically diverse team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build clear, powerful and concise narratives, and to communicate joint value propositions matching market needs
  • Well organised, adaptable and clear thinker able effectively to manage and prioritise individual, team and colleagues time in the face of multiple, competing deadlines
  • Recognised by peers and partners as catalyst for change, actively looking for innovative solutions to challenges
  • Always able to engage and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to work in an unstructured environment with little regular oversight
  • Able to produce, develop, implement and operate controls, including policies and procedures for Aptitude Software, reassesses the suitability of controls based on the operation and monitoring of those activities, and update the controls as necessary.
